Danny has always enjoyed painting and drawing and saw it as a way to relieve stress and focus his often times sporadic brain. It was always a dream that he could show in galleries but never had the time to focus solely on artwork. He studied business in college and began dreaming of dropping everything and moving into a small trailer in the middle of nowhere to paint. Before ever making that dream a reality, he suddenly became paralyzed and almost lost his life to cancer.
After fighting cancer and paralysis, Danny began focusing on his artwork and building series that often times reflected his past hardships and current struggles.
His almost neurotic quest for organization and perfection is very evident in his style. Each piece is sculpted from hours of thought and pages of research. Literature, old photographs and historical incidents are the inspiration for his work, and a variety of mediums and textured backgrounds are used to accomplish these ideas.
